take your pvp r/ or /r with pet on board character TO the menagerie....show the pet to the tamer. Now take your pve character with r/ or /r to the menagerie...the (pvp) wolf level 20 is now available for your pve character to tame...

I created a PVP Ranger but don't have a wolf. I've run around the training ground and the Temple plus been to the menagerie and spoken to the trainer but still no Wolf.
I'm doing something stupid, but what? |

You have to have Charm Animal, Comfort Animal, or Heal as One on your bar for your pet to join your party. Do that and go out to an explorable (or the menagerie) and the wolf should be there.

Ah, I thought that a PVP ranger got those skills as part of their starting package but this does not seem to be the case.
I'll add ranger to my main toon and have a bit of fun finding pets, then. :0) Thank you. |

It's been a while since I started fresh and saw which skills they give a new PvP ranger. But it should be pretty easy to unlock Charm Animal with any PvE character -- even a throwaway one -- since it's one of the starter skills in PvE. Once it's unlocked, you can toss it on your PvP toon to get the wolf.

yeah, guess I started a regular pve ranger first --which does unlock the charm and comfort animal...(not prophecies though)...then just change over to the pvp-- did this for my 2nd account and it worked out well (still have a nice level 20 wolf pet on one of my heroes too).

okay so I'm 8/50 now!
I've got: Hero of Cantha Companion Pet M.O.X. Black Moa Pretty soon I'll have the Imperial Pheonix (He's level 18 now) And when I beat the next mission and get to the central transfer chamber I will be able to use the 2 cloths of brotherhood i bought to get 2 more heroes upgraded. But geez - the game is a lot harder than I thought to solo! Had to get help for a few of the harder missions in Cantha and for the last mission with the cyndyr wurm boss at the end. I need to start upgrading my heroes skills or optimizing them in some way. At least the destroyers are a bit easier since I realized I shouldn't be using fire skills against them and switched to the water element. Anyways, my new goal is 15/50 for the Black Moa ranger pet in GW2. My next plans are: - Try to do WiK to get an epic weapon for 2 points. (I heard it's hard ) - Try to save up for prestige armor (need like 60 plat ugh) - Beat the other campaigns and then figure out a couple more titles after that. - Get the Black Moa Chick Does anyone know how long it takes getting norn rep before you're able to post a trophy for it? I'm at like 6,500 rep but still don't have a title I can post to the HoM. |

You need to max the norn title to post it in the HoM. Same with all the EoTN allegiance titles. That's 160 000 points.

Max rank is required for lots of titles, but there are some exceptions (which you can find here : http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/%22Honor%22 ) Upgrading your heroes is really important, their default skills are usually quite bad. You will find everything easier with decent heroes |

dear lord 160,000 i think I'll go for something else!
I was looking to use a guide to customize my heroes and was refferred to this: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/p...t10447337.html However he says: "This guide assumes you have access to every skill in the game. If that is not the case for you ... I???m afraid I cannot help." Now I gotta figure out the fastest way to unlock hero skills. They all have default skills and its bleh |

I found a good way to get some skills is to do the skill quests in prophecies (even non prophecies characters can get a few --from lions arch thru the jungle there are a bunch). another way, I just create a new character (say dervish) and play him til he gets to kamadan (or a bit farther)...unlocks some basic dervish skills. (did this with a new account--had no melee skills so I created a warrior in nightfall, played a bit, deleted, created in factions--played a bit, deleted etc--but I do play quite a lot as well ---).
It only gets basic skills, but since I had none unlocked at all--it was better than nothing.
